Rita Smith began writing when she was young. However, until the past few years she couldn't bring a story to a conclusion. Thus bringing about her blog, Writers Quest. In 2008, shortly after joining The Y-City Writers Forum, she discovered flash fiction. The art of learning to write a complete story in under 1000 words transformed her life.
She is now co-leader of the writers' group. She is currently editing her novel Twilight Dance, while working on another novel Hitching a Ride.
Rita has been published in online journals, such as The Chick Lit Review, The Short Humour Stie, MicroFiction and MicroHorror. She has been published in several anthologies and even had a haiku printed on the back of a tee-shirt along with a bunch of other people, all much better poets than she.
